Lei Jun’s Latest Knockoff, Fake Xiaomi Stores?

This is a Bonafide Xiaomi store in China, or is it? Hmmm, well it looks like one. Has the curious logo, Xiaomi kit and semi-clueless helpers to whom the term ‘service’ can be loosely translated into, ‘Don’t ask me that question. How should I know the answer?’ And then shuffles off to play Halo.

Lei Jun, however, claims that shops such as this are fakes. If I’m not mistaken, he said there are no legit Xiaomi retailers in China, but I thought I’d read there was.

In any event, Lei Jun is warning us to be careful. Apparently there are people looking to knockoff one of the biggest knockoffs n the planet. Is it just me that Lei Jun could actually be behind the fake stores to show that it is on par with Apple?

For their part, the Cupertino firm has identified dozens of fake stores across China. By ‘helping’ establish such shops, Lei Jun would merely be knocking off another Apple phenomenon.
