China is famous for ‘Chinglish’, which is mangled Chinese-English. The signs below exemplify this:
This perverse use of the Queen’s English also comes out via instructions and commands in Chinese products. For example, wtf does the following command ‘revert’ mean in my Elife settings:
At least those commands are in English. But this is what I get when trying to buy from the Xiaomi account from my Mi 4, which by the way, is set to English:
All of those things are comical if not frustrating. But how abouth this gem, Xiaomi warns that disassembling the battery can cause an ‘explosion!’
I guess they really really would like us tinkerers to take note and leave the repairs to qualified techs….
