Wow, Xiaomi has mastered the art of … Well..
In all honesty they have not mastered much more than ‘C to C’ or copy-to-China. This is the faithful replication of a western brand or product and its reproduction in the PRC.
Xiaomi’s latest offering seems to be a ‘repurposed’ iPhone with the moniker of Mi5 Plus.
Kudos to Lei Jun and Xiaomi for not wasting resources on silly things like R&D, nor design. Why waste a talented team in foraying into the unknown? Just copy-to-China and you will be worth $45 billion!
