1-Xiaomi to Sell Mi Water Purifier in India Soon, Hints Company
On July 16, Xiaomi unveiled a new line of Mi TV 2S series smart television and Mi water purifier in China. Now the company is planning to sell the water purifier in India.
Xiaomi VP (global operation), Hugo Barra confirmed the news on Facebook, but refused to disclose an actual timeline on Mi Water purifier’s release in India.
2-Xiaomi rolls out smart-household appliances
In a demonstration of its resolve to diversify, Xiaomi, the leading indigenous smartphone brand in China, rolled out three home appliances on July 16, a TV, a water purifier and an air conditioner, as part of their continuing cooperation efforts with Midea, a major home-appliances brand.
The three products made their debut amid much fanfare, as Xiaomi staged a high-profile publicity campaign before the press conference, claiming the new products will steal the market share of foreign counterparts.
