Xiaomi, led by China tech billionaire Lei Jun, topped the rankings of smartphone vendors in China with a 15.9% market share in the country in the three months to June, according to a new estimate published on Monday by research firm Canalys.
Huawei is just behind Xiaomi, expanding 48% sequentially – the fastest-growing vendor in the top 10, Canalsys said in a short statement. Huawei’s 15.7% market share leaves a very slim lead for Xiaomi. Apple fell to third place, followed by Samsung and Vivo, Canalys said. It didn’t provide details for those three.
