1-Xiaomi Partners With Apple Supplier Foxconn To Build Cheap Smartphones With High-End Specs In India
Xiaomi is teaming up with famous Apple supplier Foxconn to roll out the first smartphone made in India – the Redmi 2 Prime.
Foxconn has been assembling the Redmi 2 Prime from a plant in South India, helping Xiaomi produce locally, reduce delivery times and boost margins. The new partnership will also help Xiaomi lower costs and obtain a larger share of the world’s third-largest smartphone market.

2- Xiaomi, Foxconn begin handset assembly in India
Xiaomi Inc. and Foxconn have teamed up to begin assembling handsets in a factory in the southeastern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, Reuters reported Monday.
Beginning Monday the Foxconn-run facility will produce Xiaomi’s Redmi2 Prime, which will be sold in the country for 6,999 rupees ($109.58), Xiaomi executives said.

Xiaomi has raised the curtain on its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi 2 Prime, the company’s first product to be “made in India”. As we are used to with the Chinese company, the Redmi 2 Prime delivers plenty of bang for your buck by offering a solid spec sheet and an affordable price tag. The handset is a slightly better version of Xiaomi’s existing Redmi 2.
4-Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 gets specs leaked by retailer
These are busy times for Xiaomi, with the company prepping for the launch of its MIUI 7 Android overlay first in China on August 13 and then globally 6 days later. Rumors hinted that the first date may also witness the unveiling of the somewhat overdue Redmi Note 2 and a listing on Oppomart has appeared to corroborate them. The retailer lists the smartphone as out of stock for the moment but the entry comes complete with a price and specs, though they raise more red flags than answer questions.
